Plantskydd (pronounced: plant-skid) is Swedish for ‘plant-protection‘.
- The RTU (ready-to-use) Spray is effective, year-round plant protection against deer, rabbits and elk.
- It works on flowers, perennials, fruit & vegetable gardens (Do Not spray edible parts), shrubs, trees, and bulbs (dip or spray the bulb with Plantskydd before putting in the ground).
- Application frequency:
– Growing season (2-4 weeks + spray new growth)
– Dormant season (3-6 months)
– Bulbs (spray or dip bulbs before planting)
– IMPORTANT! Spray on dry plants and allow to dry for 24 hours. - 1L spray bottle protects approximately 100 plants/seedlings 1′ high.
NOTE: It is recommended that you rince the spray nozzle well and remove the straw before storing for next use. This prevents the nozzle from getting clogged and unusable.
Plantskydd:
1) …is made with real dried blood (porcine or bovine), vegetable oil, and water.
2) …contains no synthetic additives, is non-toxic, and is not harmful to animals or the environment.
3) …has a strong “old blood” odour and sprays a dark red colour. It can be used on flowers. It will darken leaves/petals temporarily. They will return to their normal colour in a couple of days.
4) …once spray is dry, it is waterproof from rain and snow.
5) …is safe to spray on vegetable foliage and to create a perimeter around the garden to deter animals from entering. Do NOT spray directly on the edible parts of vegetables as it can affect the taste.
