Beech trees are decidious with unique seasonal colour and shaped foliage. They are best used in landscapes to create shade and privacy. Copper European Beech can grow to be a large trees, so they need room for growth. Yet, it can also be used as a hedge, with maintenance, as it can withstand heavy pruning.
Copper European Beech has bright green foliage that emerges in the spring from light golden-brown buds. In fall, the leaves turn a golden-copper, then begin to dry up but remain on the branches all winter. When the new leaf shoots emerge, they push off the old leaves as they grow. A very interesting tree.
